REALIZATION
(For Tessa)

by jnrJacinto

and i plucked you
(but with tender hands)
from your daybed
like a flower
from its stalk.

and you bled
(from the sudden intrusion)
an abundant crimson
that falls in drops
to the hallowed ground.

and around me i felt
(like some ancient victor)
the throbbing tremor
as the thunder burst
into a thousand applause.

and then i arose
(from the beatific reality)
and looking down i knew
that you a woman
that i a man.

ODE TO A PATIENT STALA

by jnrJacinto

waiting for ages
to complete your being
and reach the summit
of that cavernous domain
where you exist unknown
from man and his cahoots
growing from a mound
to a virgin beauty
fed by the trickles
that comes from above
through a slit on the ground
no wider than the eyes
can penetrate and fathom
what deep mystery
lies below
down where the waters
nourished your existence
where lonely you stare
at that half so near
awaiting that moment
when at last
you will touch
and unite with the other
to become a pillar
a monument of triumph
of your waiting years.

THOUGH THE LIGHT DIED
(To Tessa)
by jnrJacinto

and the light died
in the room
but upon
the boards arose
again
the warm trace
of a gentle effluvium
perhaps faint
but
nevertheless awakening
nostalgic rebirth
long forgotten
while
the shadows
dim upon the wall
stretch to their full
desiring perhaps
to cover the place
where
the remains
stood mute testimonies
of your being here
one beautiful
summer night
of long ago.

IN THE UNWOUNDING VAST by jnrJacinto Into the dingle of darkness A man's heart goes It journeys quivering Because of anguish unconfessed. For when his spirit Was still hovering above It asked for kindness But was handed the cup of gall. And now that he"s coming back To the womb of his mother In lieu of the droop Inflicted by God's beings He hopes to find the scintillation of beauty That will smite the last anguish And back to where he came He'll find solace there.
